Sat. Jul. 15, 7:30 pm: Samajam, free outdoor concert at the Saint-Hugues de Lac Saguay building. Samajam invites the audience to participate with musical instruments, drum sticks and tubes for everyone and of course you can dance.  At 2 pm there is an African drums workshop.

Aug. 4, 7:30 A free outdoor concert  - Jazz Affair, at the municipal beach Michel-Jr. – Lévesque du Lac Tibériade (in case of bad weather the concert will take place in the municipal hall of Ste. Veronique, 1841, boul. Fernand-Lafontaine, Rivière-Rouge.  Jazz Affair offers songs of Quebec to France, Charles Aznavour, Daniel Bélanger, Beau Dommage, Joe Dassin and more ! Six voices perform well known songs with the added touch of Jazz. 

 

 

 

 

 Mont Tremblant

Thur. Jul. 20, 7:30 pm: Un amour d’opéra at the Mont Tremblant Village Church. You will hear Love at the opera from centuries from Pergolesi, Verdi, and Puccini, to Gershwin.  There will be a talk with the artists at 7 pm. 

 

 

 

 

Fri. Jul. 21, 8 pm: The popular Canadian Tenor singer Marc Hervieux, accompanied by his pianist, at the St. Jovite Church, 940, rue de Saint-Jovite, Mont Tremblant.  At 7:30 there will be a talk.

 

 

 

Sat. Jul. 22, 7:30: a free concert under the stars, with Alexandre Da Costa, violin soloist, with the “Orchestre de la Francophonie” at the Domain Saint-Bernard of Mont Tremblant.    The program includes a variety of popular pieces such as the Czardas by Monti and the famous music from ‘Schindler’s List.” In case of bad weather the concert will be given at the Saint-Jovite Church, 940 rue de Saint-Jovite, Mont Tremblant.

Sun. Jul 23, 7:30: The Royal 22nd regiment Military orchestra with over 40 musicians led by Captain Christian Richer will play a diversified repertoire of classic and popular music.  At the Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré Church.  At 7 pm a talk with Winston McQuade.

 

 

 

 

Sun. Aug. 6, 12 :30 pm – a Free outdoor concert Irem Bekter at the Laurentian Eco-tourist park (the old Pisciculture of St. Faustin Lac Carré) in case of bad weather concert will be held at the Saint-Faustin-Lac Carré Church, 1179, rue de la Pisciculture, St. Faustin - Lac Carré.  Irem Bekter combines musical rhythms, styles and contrasts from four continents, creating a fusion of Jazz, Argentinean tango, and traditional Turkish music.

Jul. 28, 8:30 pm: Ladies Night - This show is popular around the world, it is back on tour.  Over 750 sold out shows in Quebec.  The play was written by Anthony McCarten and Stephen Sinclair.  In a little town a group of unemployed friends, take the challenge and launch a “Striptease” show with the help of an ex dancer, Glenda.  They have to learn to sing and dance….funny!  Casti: Guillaume Lemay–Thivierge, Marcel Leboeuf, Frédéric Pierre, François Chenier, Luc Senay, and Sylvie Boucher.

Aug. 5, 7:30 pm: Free concert in the park Léonidas-Dufresne de Val-David, in case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the Community Hall Val David.  Sonate 1704 travels through the history of string instruments during the Baroque era.  Olivier Brault with violin, leads the group also plays other instruments, Mélisande Corriveau – cello and more, Dorothéa Ventura harpsichord.  At 2 pm there is a family activity of initiation to instruments, at the concert site.

Sun. July 30, 11 am: Trio Sylvain Lafontaine, play Jazz funk and World music from Pink Floyd & Supertramp to Alain Lefebvre!

Sun. Aug. 13, Noon & 2 pm: starting at noon sausages on BBQ & bar, followed by a concert on the Lake shore stage at 2 pm. Lasso & Sini-Kan - six musicians playing traditional African music with flutes, percussion, tambours, voice and balafon. 

After each concert the public is invited to enjoy the lakeshore view on the terrace, have a coffee and other treats at the New Maison de la Culture of St. Placide.  Every Sunday in July and August, from 10 am to 4 pm: an exhibition of artwork by fifteen local artists.
